JAMES G. CONWAY
James G. Conway has served our nation with distinction for over 35 years, twenty-five of those years as a Special Agent (SA) of the FBI.

Mr. Conway, a native of New England, received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master's Degree in Communication and Issues Management. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in International Affairs from Middlebury College and studied International Law at the Universidad Compultense in Madrid, Spain. Upon completion of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia in 1984, SA Conway was assigned to the Houston Division of the FBI where he managed a number of successful and complex investigations in the areas of Organized Crime, Violent Crime, and Counterterrorism.
SA Conway also served as a member of the FBI’s elite tactical SWAT team for ten years and as a Police Instructor throughout his career. SA Conway also spent four years in the Houston Division managing the FBI’s, Community and Public Affairs office where he was responsible for community, congressional and media relations as well as recruiting FBI, Special Agents and support staff.

Subsequently, SA Conway supervised the FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and managed a variety of international investigations both in the U.S and overseas working closely with police, intelligence and judicial counterparts in the Middle-East, Europe and throughout Latin-America. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11,, SA Conway was appointed to a diplomatic posting at the Office of the Legal Attaché, U.S. Embassy, Mexico City where he was the FBI, Program Manager of Counterterrorism and Counter-intelligence. Throughout his career, SA Conway was the recipient of numerous awards of recognition from the Director of the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, the United States Attorney General as well as NATO, the United Nations and numerous police and intelligence agencies around the world.

Currently, he is the President of Global Intel Strategies, Inc., a Houston-based firm that consults, trains and advises government agencies, academia, and the media on terrorism and national security issues as well as private sector corporations on global and travel security issues, counterterrorism measures and risk mitigation.
